The little common lizard is relatively tame and is the only kind of lizard found in the National Park.
Due to its small size and brownish colouring the common lizard often passes unnoticed. This lizard only produces a small number of young and is viviparous, an adaptation to the environmental conditions in the mountains. During gestation the young already come out of their eggs within their mother’s womb, where they are able to grow in warmth and shelter.
Young common lizards are darker than adults.
